Award Functions



National Innovation Foundation has so far conducted Six National Award Functions and given away hundreds of awards in various categories in its nationwide innovation movement.
The Sixth National Innovation Award Function was held on March 09, 2012 at Sports Ground, President House, New Delhi, where innovation awards were given away by President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil to the awardees. A total of 46 innovators/traditional knowledge holders were awarded and appreciated.
The Fifth National Innovation Award Function was held on November 18, 2009 at IARI Auditorium, Pusa, New Delhi, where innovation awards were given away by President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil to the awardees. A total of 83 innovators/traditional knowledge holders were awarded and appreciated.
The Fourth National Innovation Award Function was held on February 11, 2007 at IARI Auditorium, Pusa, New Delhi, where innovation awards were given away by the then President, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam to the awardees. A total of 87 innovators/traditional knowledge holders were awarded and appreciated.
The Third National Innovation Award Function was held on January 5, 2005 at IIM, Ahmedabad, where the innovation awards were given away by the then President, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam to the awardees. A total of 98 innovators/traditional knowledge holders were awarded and appreciated.

The Second National Innovation Award Function was held on December 17, 2002 at National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, where the innovation awards were given away by the then President, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam to the awardees. A total of 52 innovators/traditional knowledge holders were awarded and appreciated.

The First National Innovation Award function was held on November 29, 2001 at IARI Auditorium, New Delhi, where the innovation awards were given away by Hon'ble Shri K. C. Pant, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission. A total of 88 innovators/traditional knowledge holders were awarded and appreciated.

The IGNITE Award Function : National Innovation Foundation invites creative technological ideas/innovations from the students up to class 12th for the fifth national competition for children's ideas and innovations.
