Agro based food processing machinery
A food-grade highly cost competitive, fully automated machinery designed for bulk quantity peeling of garlic without damaging the garlic and maintaining the original property. This has wide application in pickle industry and use in herbal medicine (Pharma). The machine is energy efficient and saves labour. It economizes operating cost, saves initial capital investments and removes capacity constraints caused by shortage of human labour in peak season for the pickle industry. An Indian Patent has been filed for the product and it has also been supported under MVIF for commercialization.
The innovation has application for pickle industry, which has an annual domestic turnover of approx $ 25 million. Further it has usage in Pharma (herbal segment) where garlic paste is used as a key ingredient.
