The mini sanitary napkin making machine has four different units namely de-fibration, core forming sealing unit and UV chamber for de-fibration of wood pulp, core forming, sealing with poly propylene and sterilization respectively. It is a technology to prepare the low cost sanitary napkin with the same materials as conventional napkins by cutting down the cost in production. It requires 3 to 4 manpower to produce 3 pads per min. More than 70 units of the machine have been installed across the country through different SHG's. The project has also been supported under MVIF. The product is manufactured under the banner of Jayashree Indusries.
Novelty lies in integration of well known equipments size, reduction unit (de-fibration), core forming press, manually operated electric sealing unit and UV chambers. This cuts down the cost of production, which leads to a reduction in cost of the product.
