The mini sanitary napkin making machine has three different units namely de-fibration, core forming and sealing unit for de-fibration of wood pulp, core forming and sealing with poly propylene respectively. It is a technology to prepare the low cost sanitary napkin with the same materials by cutting down the cost in production. It requires 3 to 4 manpower to produce 3 pads per min. More than 60 units of the machine has been installed all around the country through different SHG's. The project has also been supported under MVIF. The product has been manufactured under the banner of Jayashree Indusries.
Novelty lies in integration of well known equipments size reduction unit (de-fibration), core forming press and manually operated electric sealing unit. This cut down the cost of production, which leads to a reduction in cost of the product.
