15th Biennial Campaign - National Innovation Foundation-India
The 15th National Biennial Campaign for Green Grassroots unaided Technological Innovations, Ideas & Outstanding Traditional Knowledge
THE CAMPAIGN
15th National Biennial Campaign
NIF invites entries of unaided technological innovations and traditional knowledge developed at the grassroots by an individual (an Indian citizen) or a group for possible incubation support, including validation, value addition, protection of IPRs, dissemination, etc. The innovations can be in the fields of agriculture, health, energy, household utilities, transportation, livestock, etc., leading to the reduction of drudgery, livelihood generation, development of plant varieties, herbal remedies for animal, farming, human health problems, or any other low-cost, sustainable, green technologies. These should be unaided and unsupervised, and should be the outcome of the innovator’s own creativity, without any technical support from external agencies. Creative ideas for innovative technologies or techniques that solve persistent societal problems, even if they have not yet been developed into prototypes, may also be submitted.
Eligibility for support such as Validation, Value Addition, Protection of IPRs, Dissemination, etc.
All Indian citizens can submit their technological ideas or innovations to NIF for potential incubation support, except those pursuing or holding a graduate or postgraduate degree in technology (including engineering, agriculture, veterinary science, medical sciences, pharmacy, biotechnology, or biochemistry), professional courses in science and technology- related subjects, or a Master's degree or higher in Science. Individuals working in an R&D role at any institution or organisation are also not eligible.
Individuals seeking incubation support from NIF and working within institutions or organisations must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their office, confirming that the innovation is their original work and personal effort. The NOC should also state that the office has no objection to the individual receiving any support (monetary or non-monetary) from NIF for the idea or innovation.
The Eligible individuals or groups may send their entries by email (campaign@nifindia.org) or by post to the address given below:
