Dr. Kusum Sharma is currently serving as Senior Associate at the National Innovation Foundation (NIF)–India, Gandhinagar, with over eight years of experience in research, innovation, and academic mentoring. Her domain expertise includes Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR), microbial bio-formulations, and sustainable agriculture, with a focused approach toward developing eco-friendly and stress-resilient crop improvement strategies.
She obtained her Ph.D. from Integral University, Lucknow, in collaboration with ICAR–Indian Institute of Seed Science, and qualified ICAR-NET in 2016 and 2017. She has acquired extensive research experience through her associations with premier ICAR institutes, including ICAR-NBAIM, Mau, ICAR-IISS, Mau, and ICAR-IIPR, Kanpur. Dr. Sharma has made significant scholarly contributions through numerous publications, including books, book chapters, and research articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals. Her contributions have been recognized through several prestigious accolades, including the Young Women Scientist Award (2023), Young Scientist Award (2024), Best Oral Presentation Award, and Best Research Paper Award.
