IIT Kharagpur has an entrepreneurship cell with the aim of promoting entrepreneurial spirit among the students as well as providing them all the support in terms of mentorship, incubation, patenting, and external funding. IIT Kharagpur being the premier institute of technology and research in the country realizes the unique responsibility it has in promoting entrepreneurship at all the levels ranging from Rural Entrepreneurship to Technopreneurship. Keeping this aim in mind, IITK is organizing, *Eclairez-The Social Entrepreneurship Challenge* |
| This competition aims for amalgamation of students, NGOs, incubators, social entrepreneurs, venture-capitalists and corporations to encourage and develop the spirit of social entrepreneurship. The focus is on developing a symbiotic relationship among a group of individuals having different skill-sets but who are driven by same ideals and can aid in capturing, enhancing and disseminating knowledge on social entrepreneurship. In the finals, to be held at IIT Kharagpur during E-Summit 2007 3rd - 4th November, the teams have to present their idea before a panel of judges which shall include personalities like Neerja Raman, Partho .S Ghosh and Dipankar Chakrobarty. |
