President of India who has set the nation on this decade of innovations, Dr. Mashelkar and Professor Gupta, Dr. Prakash, the members of the Council of NIF, India's Innovator network, the innovators, friends, Very good Morning! I was asked to speak about the future direction. As Hon'ble President was visiting our exhibition, the President asked one of the innovators, who had displayed this compressed air run scooter, when we will commercialize it? Can you scale it and commercialize it? And that is the future direction already laid out to us. When we discussed this future direction from the excitement of innovating, I think the next phase of profiting from the innovations of the society becomes the future direction to look at. The present model that NIF has innovated itself is an innovation from inclusive broth because majority of the innovation model used across the world; by far, very large percentage of the population of the world because they are not cost optimized. And in this particular model innovators themselves are ultimately the persons that are going to be the users. As a consequence the cost optimized innovation system is probably and likely to even give the world a new method of innovations and recognizing this issues. Infact I remembered promising the last time I was here and the Hon'ble President of India was asking this question- How do we enhance the resource into this process? These 150 thousand registrations has been accomplished and maintained by our investment of around one and a half crores per annum as an annual grant. And I think this is the most fertilized but I think its more for the least and more for the least has to become more for the less or more for the more-More and more for More. NIF is shortly becoming an autonomous institution of the Department of Science and Technology, taking an annual grant, through which we hope to enhance the resource input into the system. |
