Shri Biju Varghese, Kottayam, Kerala won the National Award of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for the Best Applied Research/ Innovation aimed at Improving the life of Persons with Disabilities. The awards were conferred by H.E. The President of India at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 3rd December, 2011. Shri Varghese earlier had won a National Award in NIF's Fourth National Award Function in 2007 for his lower limb disabled friendly retrofitting kit for cars. |
